    Why Try Reusable Q-Tips?

The world is becoming an eco-friendlier place. As a result, manufacturers are making products that are recyclable and kind to the atmosphere.

There are several home products that cause pollutants. Q-tips are one of them.

Q-tips are harmful due to their plastic middles. Plastic is laced with chemicals and, when discarded, it ends up in the sea or on land where it can be digested by sea life and wildlife making animals sick.

What’s more, plastic is non-biodegradable so it can survive for years in water and on land increasing its potential to be a health risk for animals.

Q-tips are single use and often discarded immediately making them a huge biohazard. But now, manufacturers are turning things around making reusable q-tips. Read on to find out more about these environmentally friendly products and how you can use them to save an animal’s life.

    About Last Swab

Last Swab is a reusable q-tip/cotton swab that produces zero waste. It is easy to clean and store so you can hold on to one longer minimizing the plastic that ends up on land and on sea. The products are durable and last for hundreds and even thousands of uses so they will stay in your bathroom cabinets, and out of natural habitats, for a good long time.

The q-tips come in two different models. The Last Swab Original is for general use while the Last Swab Beauty is for beauty-oriented application. They are made from flexible, high quality non-toxic materials that are gentle on skin. They come in a biodegradable carrying case that will keep them clean and safe.

The product was first introduced in Kickstarter and Indiegogo crowdfunding events. Though still in its infancy stage, 30,000 backers bought Last Swab before it was officially launched. In fact, many people pre-pledged a purchase before the funding campaigns were even underway.

The company was very pleased by the success of their product and the passion people have for saving the environment. Their plan is to continue spreading the word about their single use products and to have them sold all over the world and in major retail outlets such as Walmart and Tesco. They believe that when they are available at this level, they will have an even more significant impact.

    About the Founder

Last Swab was founded by designer Isabel Aagaard. Aagard was frustrated by all the single use products out there and the harm they caused to the atmosphere. She decided to make a change by launching the Last Object company in 2018.

Last Swab was the company’s first product, released in 2019. Last Tissue came fast behind it. Both products are reusable solutions that are kind to the earth.

Last Object is based in Copenhagen, Denmark, and has production in Denmark and China.

It is wonderful to see that manufacturers like Last Object are doing their part to improve the earth with quality single use products. It’s hopeful that this marks a change for the better in the way people purchase and use household goods. We can only wait to see the impact it has on our wildlife and the air we breathe.
